MEDSTAFF transformed medical staff services in 1984, when we introduced it to our community of medical staff professionals. Before MEDSTAFF there was the typewriter. Letters, labels reports—all were typed, and retyped for each change. MEDSTAFF credentialing software changed all that.

In 1984, MEDSTAFF introduced expiration tracking, completed reappointment application forms, customized clinical privilege request forms, the AHA report, meeting attendance tracking and reports, and, of course, labels. Next we added our Smart Verification System, NPDB verification and other features. Through the years MEDSTAFF has kept pace with the needs of the professional staff office and it is still the essential tool for the medical staff professional.

Smart credentialing and more
MEDSTAFF’s credentialing system is smart: It knows which verification letters to print. It notifies applicants of incomplete applications, of items that cannot be verified, of gaps in service. It prints profiles and appointment letters and more. MEDSTAFF credentialing software works with you to enhance your credentialing process and increase your efficiency.

Recredentialing too
When we introduced the completed reappointment application form, we were told that we cut at least four weeks off the processing time for reappointments. Because medical staff members received a form with their own data filled in, they only had to check it over, make corrections where needed, add any new information and return it in the envelope provided. Finally, someone understood that medical staff members should not have to supply the same information year after year.

Expiration tracking
With MEDSTAFF credentials will always be up-to-date because you will use MEDSTAFF regularly to monitor credentials that expire on different schedules. You won’t have to worry about whether a surprise inspection will uncover an expired license or a staff member who hasn’t been reappointed. Consequently, at reappointment time you will only have to verify hospital affiliations, peer references and new information.

MEDSTAFF is much more than just credentialing software; it automates every aspect of professional staff services operations and administration.

It tracks medical staff requirements such as meeting attendance, CME participation and dues. It maintains individual core and delineated clinical privileges. It includes more than 100 different reports which may be viewed, printed or exported on demand, plus templates for custom reports.

We developed MEDSTAFF’s Correspondence feature when our clients begged us to do something to make it easier to respond to the huge number of requests from insurance companies and other hospitals for verification of staff standing. Just click on the facility, click on the provider and the letter and envelope are printed.
